Who assassinated (or attempted to assassinate) each of the following celebrities?

1. Martin Luther King Jr.   =James Earl Ray confessed but later attempted to recant his confession.

2. Abraham Lincoln          = John Wilkes Booth - Lincoln was shot dead in Ford's Theatre.

3. Robert F. Kennedy        =Sirhan Sirhan - Five other people were also wounded when Kennedy was killed.

4. Ronald Reagan            =John Hinckley Jr. - Hinckley obviously didn't succeed, but said that Jodie Foster told him to do it! 

5. Harvey Milk              = Dan White - Sean Penn played Harvey Milk in the movies.

6. Archduke Franz Ferdinand  =Gavrilo Princip - Ferdinand's assassination kicked off World War I.

7. Mohandas Karamchand Ghandi =Nathuram Godse - Ghandi was famous for the saying 'An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.' 

8. James Garfield            = Charles J. Guiteau - Garfield was shot on July 2, 1881.

9. John Lennon               = Mark David Chapman - Lennon was cremated.

10. Leon Trotsky             =Ramon Mercader - Trotsky was deported from the Soviet Union in the 1920's.

11. Yitzhak Rabin            =Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin was shot dead on November 4, 1995. His assassin was Igal Amir, who fired three shots of which one hit Rabin fatally in the chest.
