The UN realized that TV played a significant role in presenting international problems affecting folks and this required to be addressed.
On December seventeen, 1996, UN General Assembly proclaimed November twenty one as World TV Day to commemorate the date on that the primary World TV Forum was held earlier that year. The UN invited all member states to look at the day by encouraging international exchanges of TV programs focusing, among different things, on problems like peace, security, economic and social development and cultural amendment enhancements.
