Children’s Day is an event celebrated on various days in many places around the World.
Childrens day in India falls on 14th November every year with a great celebrity. It is celebrated on the birthday of Jawaharlal Nehruji who love and was loved by children. He was called as “Chacha ji” by children.14 November is birthday of the first Prime Minister of India, Pt Jawaharlal Nehru. As a tribute to his love for children Pandit Nehru is also regarded as the Country’s special child to have been the India’s first Prime Minister after his long struggle for Independence to India.
Schools in our Country celebrate the day in different manner. Cultural programmes and other activities like quizzes, fancy dress competitions, elocutions will be organized on that day. The day is ear-marked with lot of activities for children. Institutions like Balbhavans and also Jawahar Balabhavans have special programmes for children in variety of areas and also well equipped with libraries, games etc.,.
Teachers perform dances and songs for their students to make them feel happy and cheerful.
“Children are like tender buds in a Garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow.”
