The Rafflesia Arnoldii is the biggest flower on the earth. Also Sir Stamford Rafflesia and Dr Joseph Arnold is the one who found The Rafflesia Arnoldi on Sumatra in 1818. The Raffesia arnoldi named after Sir Stamford Raffesia and Dr Joseph Arnold. The flower can grow up to a metre wide and can weigh as much as nine kilograms. This flower can also called 'The Corpse Flower' because it give smell like a rotten meat.

The rotten meat smell attract flies and help the plant to pollinate. Raffesia arnoldii lives less than a week thats why is really rarely to find them. People usually find it in southeastern Asia on the Malay Peninsula, Borneo, Sumatra, Thailand and Philippines. It grows in southeastern asia because at Southeastern asia there is a a lot of tropical rainforest. 

Pollination is really rare for raffesia arnoldii because they need a male and female to be close to each other.  Rafflesia arnoldii can only reproduce when the male flower and the female flower open at the same time and the flies or any insect to transfer the pollen. After the pollination is done it takes months for the flower to bloom. The possibility for the flower to bloom is about 80 or 90 percent rate. The flower will only last for 5 to 7 days.
