Amazing Cat Facts Part II
1. Cats have a top speed of about 30 mp/h (48.28 km/h).

2. Cats have five toes on each front paw, but only four toes on each back paw.  Cats are the only animal that walk on their claws, not the pads of their feet. 

3. Besides smelling with their nose, cats can smell with an additional organ called the Jacobson's organ, located in the upper surface of the mouth. 

4. FELIS CATUS - that’s the scientific name for a cat that lives in our houses.

5. A cat uses its whiskers to measure how wide an opening is -that way they can work out if they can fit into spaces

34. Cats are very independent-they wash themselves with their tongue, they don’t need to be walked like a dog, and they can use a litter box if they don’t go outside.
