WHAT IS OOo

OOo is an acronym for OpenOffice.org. This is a free-to-use open source office suite
based application distributed by SUN Microsystems. The suite contains OpenOffice.org Writer (word processor), OpenOffice.org Calc (spreadsheet application), OpenOffice.org Impress (presentation software), OpenOffice.org Base (database application), OpenOffice.
org Draw (image editing application) and OpenOffice.org Math. The application is
multilingual and is compatible with other common office software packages, including
the Microsoft Office Suite (97-2003) and the Office 2007 application suite. The latest version to be released is OpenOffice.org 3. It has been released under the LGPL license, which means that you are free to use it for domestic, commercial, educational or
administrative usage. Also there is no problem if you install it on multiple computers
or across a network of workstations.


DOWNLOADING OOo
The latest version of OOo is OpenOffice 3. Like the 2 prior versions, this version is also
available as a free download. The ?  le size is roughly around 127 MB. To download, carry out the following steps:
Visit
[1]  www.OpenOffice.org
[2] Click the "Download" link.
[3] Click on the green patch with the text "Download OpenOffice.org"
[4] Save the "OOo_3.0.0_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_en-US.exe"file.
[5] Double-click the *.exe file to begin the installation.
Follow the instructions on the windows to complete the installation.
