How to download videos from youtube 

There is a great program out there very of you will know - jdownloader.
It's not only great to download from file hosting sites but also from youtube.
So far so good -nothing new to most of you but as I by accident found out it is also a great way to donwload just the audio track of a video.
And the cool thing is that is available for Windows, Linux and Mac as it is based on Java.
Just download your version from here:JDownloader 0.9.581

and install it
start jdwownloader
then go to youtube to a certain video you want to download the whole video or only the audio track
just copy the url
open the jdownloader window and click on the Linkgrabber tab
You'll see four sections with download links
There are Youtube Video (MP4),Youtube Video (FLV),Youtube Video (MP3)(just the audio) and Youtube Video (Webm)
If you want to download the video i recommend the MP4 option cause this makes converting the video for editing obsolete
For the audio track just download the mp3 section
To only download one of the sections click on the other sections and press del( You can' unselect them)
Then press on the PLAY button and it is downloading
