1. The scales are really bumpy and rough.

2. It changes its color because of its camouflage.The Chameleon's camouflage help’s it hide from predators and hunting his prey.It has a long tongue to help it get its prey.

3. One is always watching for prey. The other is always watching for predators. 

4. The eyes move by themselves in separate directions

5. The feet are sticky and help him stick to stuff.

6. The tail is curled almost all of the time.

7. They are found in the continent of Asia, primarily in the country of Madagascar. They live in rainforests grasslands, savannas and the mountains.

18. Chameleons’ eyes are covered with skin. They see through a tiny hole in the middle. 

19. Chameleons can look backwards and forwards at the same time. They can focus one eye on one object and the other on something in the opposite direction. This means a chameleon can look at its prey and at the same time watch for predators that might try to make dinner out of the chameleon.

20. Chameleons eat a lot of things like night crawlers, cockroaches, mealworms, wax worms, crickets, cicadas, katydids, and king mealworms. They also eat. Earthworms, grasshoppers, caterpillars, silkworms, houseflies, pill bugs, green beetles, and small birds depending on the size of the chameleon.

21. Chameleons may fight other chameleons if their living space becomes too crowded. 

22. Sometimes they bite and even kill each other. Normally, a threat display is enough to make one chameleon give in to another. The fighting chameleon puffs up their bodies and throat pouches and arch their backs, rocking to fro with a hiss. Often they rise up onto their back legs to frighten each other.

23. There are so many awesome facts about chameleons! For example the oldest chameleon living is the Mimeosaurus. It has been around since dinosaurs. Today there are over 156 species of chameleons living, 130 are tree dwellers. Most chameleons are arboreal and have opposable digits. A chameleon can catch 4 flies in 3 seconds. The resting tongue comes out right at the prey not giving the food any time to get away. They always have each other too.

25. When the female would lay her eggs she carefully fertilizes her eggs inside of her warm body. First, she goes to a calm, good, warm base of a peaceful tree. The female lays up to thirty eggs! After that she scatters off back to the tree tops, leaving the eggs by their selves. Back inside the eggs, the little chameleon eats the yolk sac, then in the coming spring it breaks out of its shell and the chameleon looks like a small adult chameleon soon to be one. Then the cycle goes over and over again.  

26. Most lizards gulp their food down without chewing it, but chameleons grind everything up thoroughly!
